Poetry - Fear

Little girl, tear in her eye,
Afraid of things that go bump in the nigh'
Spiders, monsters under the bed,
Fears that are spoken - fears that are said.

Little lady, graceful and tall,
Eyes always vigilant, on the ball,
Fear of failure, fear of them,
The words they use, that mortally condemn.

Young woman, learned to love,
With a moment of clarity from those above,
Live life. Let go,
Failure is necessary, it must be so.
