Poetry - She Died For Love

Really want it to be?
Really want them to see?
If they ask, say only this -
"She died for love... She died for me."

Walk the path, the depth, the way,
death by night, dead by day,
Guilt, abhor it, too little, too much, too late,
I want to accept it, to embrace your bait...
The mislaid sorry could have been applied,
Used to save us, from the binds that you tied -
Tied to me? Shackled to your lies,
Chain me in the life I need to leave behind...
Live with day by day, never leaves my mind.

Walk amoung the living, they don't see me as the dead,
How can they not see it? Hear it? The pain that is not said?
Punish them forever more, for what you did,
for what I saw - your silent bid.

Smile - laugh - sing - dance,
Know it, feel it, pray there is a chance,
That the overpowering shadow you left inside,
Will one day become an echo, one I may abide,

But if they ask, say only this of me -
"She died for love... She died for me."
